About the Author

Dr. Dana Edwards is a native of Lynchburg, South Carolina. Currently, Dr. Edwards is an elementary school counselor and has been in the education field for five years. She enjoys working with her students and spending time with her family and friends. They fuel her drive to write stories and to be successful.

She was inspired to write children’s books for a variety of reasons. First, Dr. Edwards wanted to bring awareness to the school counseling profession and the services school counselors could provide for students, staff members, families, and the community. Additionally, her goal is to help students learn coping skills to deal with difficult situations such as anger, grief, and self-esteem. Furthermore, Dr. Edwards wanted to write stories where her students felt represented, inspired, and encouraged to reach their highest potential.
